And this thought just occurred to me (a touch sad it took this long, but anyway) : Killing the pilots/knocking out the Fat Birds is probably the only sound way to actually win a quick victory, and avoid getting bogged down in a long war of attrition. One of the earlier comics made it seem that Dizzy could expect to get back in the fight very quickly, indicating that Fat Bird a) has a lot of LIMBs ready and waiting for pilots, b) excellent repair facilities, or c) both. Killing the downed pilots might seem harsh, but it may be the only way to efficiently win the war.

Seems unlikely. She liked Amalia, at least as much as she likes anyone. This doesn’t seem to be a person she’s too fond of.
