Well, we can only hope that the miniscule amount of lucre he made killing others for his corporation will balm his soul and put him at ease as his contract bludgeons him into oblivion.
This is so….brilliant. It reminds me so much of the day we ended our Dark Heresy campaign. I still remember the “cinematic” moment vividly, and this just brings it to the forefront of my memory.
Honor? I haven’t seen the 1IRB ever use anything less but maximum force against infantry and engineers, and those are significantly less valuable than experienced pilots.
We haven’t seen the 1IRB executed troops that are surrendering, but the fact that noone has surrendered may not be the martial culture of the Dhuvalians, but rather that no quarter is expected on either side.
But yes, attacking pilots is worse than engineers actively defending their lab (the Dhuvalian on fire I give a pass, looked like a mercy killing). The only thing that can be said for them is that our pilots haven’t attempted to surrender yet, though I’m suspecting that even if they had the chance they wouldn’t, because it doesn’t seem like the culture in this world that this is set in, at least in this war.
Vulture noooooo!
He can pull through! He’s that tough! I believe!…
Oh I have no doubt he’s gunna pull it together to save Betsy in the next cockpit over… Or she’ll save him, one of the two!
… uh oh!

It ain’t minimal. Dizzee said they get paid on par with board members for this shit in an earlier comic.
Dang if that blow didn’t bust his head open it looked like it may have broken his neck. I hope Betsy is packin’ heat.
They might spare her being a woman and all, not sure if they’re used to that as a feudal society.
They aren’t at that. Can’t remember exactly where, but in an earlier spot, it was mentioned that Dhuvalia uses an all male military.
Really? Impressive. Let’s see how good a job it does mending the bits of skull and brain back into his head.
Hrm. Odd, I hit reply on the reply you left me, but the comment posted here. Strange codewurk.
